David Ricardo is my homeboy. I love companies big and small - you name it. Without them, the wonders of modern civilization would be impossible.

That said, sometimes companies do things that aren't so nice. Wikipedia's open format seems to be an especially tempting target.


For example, you'd be surprised at how many corporate types apparently think no one will notice if:

* the entire "Criticism" section has been removed from their Wikipedia entry

* language in their Wikipedia article is supplanted wholesale with that of their most recent advertisement campaign

* multiple suspicious edits are made by a one-off IP user that doesn't leave documentation in "discussion"

Well, the great thing about Wikipedia is that someone usually does notice. I'm one of those people. I didn't intend it at first, but over time my specialty seems to have become keeping an eye on company articles for suspiciously positive changes.
