A 15 year-old boy who transferred to Yomiyama' North Middle School into the 3-3 class, but because a PSP he had to be hospitalized just before the start of classes.

Kōichi's father. A college professor currently doing research in India.
Ritsuko (理津子, Ritsuko)
Kōichi's late mother. She died 15 years ago after giving birth to Kōichi.
