Tamil films

[edit]

Hey Pokkiri!

I am amazed at your contributions to date, please continue with the fantastic work by creating more film articles and film personality articles. Possibly around 5 films a day will do steady, thats how I succeeded as a prominent Wikipedian!

Cheers, Great Luck

Vandalism

[edit]

Welcome to Wikipedia. We invite everyone to contribute constructively to our encyclopedia. Take a look at the welcome page if you would like to learn more about contributing. However, unconstructive edits, such as those you made to Ajith Kumar, are considered vandalism and immediately reverted. If you continue in this manner you may be blocked from editing without further warning. Please stop, and consider improving rather than damaging the work of others. Thank you. --Yamla 17:59, 29 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Fair use rationale for Image:Ajith3 1024 020107.jpg

[edit]
Warning sign This file may be deleted.

Thanks for uploading Image:Ajith3 1024 020107.jpg. I notice the 'image' page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in Wikipedia articles constitutes fair use. When you use a generic fair use tag such as {{fair use}} or {{fair use in|article name}}, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale.

If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any fair use images lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Yamla 18:00, 29 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Image:Ajith3 1024 020107.jpg

[edit]

Thanks for uploading Image:Ajith3 1024 020107.jpg. I notice the 'image' page specifies that the image is being used under fair use, but its use in Wikipedia articles fails our first fair use criterion in that it illustrates a subject for which a freely licensed image could reasonably be found or created that provides substantially the same information. If you believe this image is not replaceable, please:

  1. Go to the image description page and edit it to add {{Replaceable fair use disputed}}, without deleting the original Replaceable fair use template.
  2. On the image discussion page, write the reason why this image is not replaceable at all.

Alternatively, you can also choose to replace the fair use image by finding a freely licensed image of its subject, requesting that the copyright holder release this (or a similar) image under a free license, or by taking a picture of it yourself.

If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified how these images fully satisfy our fair use criteria. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on this link. Note that any fair use images which are replaceable by free-licensed alternatives will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Yamla 18:00, 29 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Haha

[edit]

Gee, I wouldn't know. I've never been warned by an administrator for forcing vandalism into articles. Do you know what a sockpuppet is? Sockpuppets are what troublemakers use to vandalise Wiki, using one account to support the position of another and so forth. If you go to Wikipedia:Sock puppetry, there's a line which says "Some people feel that second accounts should not be used at all; others feel it is harmless if the accounts are behaving acceptably.". I've never ever vandalized Wikipedia. Never. User:Maddy 20 is my brother's account, though he rarely uses it. I've already admitted that on User_talk:SteveO#Just_asking. Behindwoods.com is FAMOUS for providing false information. Information taken from there cannot be accepted.

And FYI, Aalwar is doing miserably in Malaysia. Everybody here is going to watch Pokiri and not Aalwar. And my point was that there was a line in the article that said Malaysia was running 200 shows of Aalwar per day. Not about whether the film was a success. And I can't believe you think that adding information is copyvio. Every page on wikipedia is based on information. If everyone thought the way you did, I think Wikipedia would have to be shut down. The music review part is taken word to word from IndiaGlitz.com. Now, that's copyvio.

Also, I would advise you to watch your language. If you continue your personal attacks on me with sentences like "You for one are a cheat and should not be eligible to edit Wikipedia", "your soem crap Wikipedian if you don't know how to do that" and your repetitive accusing of me vandalizing Wikipedia, I will report you to an administrator. -- Hariharan91 12:16, 31 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Varalaru - History of Godfather

[edit]

Hello, Pokkiri, I noticed you reverted my edits to Varalaru - History of Godfather without a comment. Problem with this article is:

  1. It doesn't cite references (for example, the German release of the movie - where? When?)
  2. It's not neutral ("current top actress"), ("The film went on be a super blockbuster to the despair but admiration of both Rajini and Kamal") among others.
  3. The summary is barely readable - you can't follow the plot.
  4. The summary is too long (between 600 and 900 words ideally.)
  5. The cast info is written in an unencyclopaedic way ("The film was never in any danger but at the time all three of them were looking for hits and thankfully enough they got their hit through Varalaru")
  6. Germany hasn't the "PG"-system of the academy of Motion Pictures - they use the FSK-system; please cite sources.

Among many others. Either you rewrite the article, remove the non-POV parts and crop the summary or I'll do it. I realize you have worked hard on the article and I know you're an Ajith Kumar fan - please, also for his sake, make the article look more like V For Vendetta (which got featured) or any other featured film article, so it's status and rating can be improved.

Hello, Pokkiri,
take as much time as you need - as long as things improve over there. If you need assistance with anything, call me, or User:Pa7 or User:Prince Godfather. Both of them are very active on the Indian Movie Project. Best regards and happy editing, --Plumcouch Talk2Me 00:21, 1 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Orphaned fair use image (Image:Ajith3 1024 020107.jpg)

[edit]

Thanks for uploading Image:Ajith3 1024 020107.jpg. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable under fair use (see our fair use policy).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any fair use images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. Billa (2007 film)

[edit]

You and User:Anwar saadat have been adding an image with a false license to Billa (2007 film) and/or adding an uncited plot which may or may not be taken from Don (2007 film). Please do not make any further edits to that article until you have read and understood WP:V, WP:CITE, WP:RS, and WP:FU. Please note that any further addition of that blatant copyvio image to the article will result in a block. If you wish to add a plot section, please discuss it on the article's talk page and reach a consensus before you do so. I am specifically not stating that the plot that you are adding is incorrect, only that you do not have consensus or a reliable citation for the plot. Thank you. --Yamla 04:37, 3 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for uploading Image:Billa.JPG. The image has been identified as not specifying the copyright status of the image, which is required by Wikipedia's policy on images. If you don't indicate the copyright status of the image on the image's description page, using an appropriate copyright tag, it may be deleted some time in the next seven days. If you have uploaded other images, please verify that you have provided copyright information for them as well.
