Philip Graham Riman (born March 1970)[1] is a British businessman and lawyer, non-executive chairman of technology company Tewke, a trustee of The ExtraCare Charitable Trust (a charity that works to improve the lives of older people) and a founder of White & Black[2], a law firm chaired by John Crabtree (businessman). He is the founder of strategy consultancy, StrategOx[3].
Early life[edit]
Riman was born in Warwickshire and attended school in Royal Leamington Spa and was educated at University College London, Coventry University (Diploma in Law) and The College of Law (now The University of Law).
Career[edit]
Riman set up his first business in 1991 before going on to study and train to be a solicitor. He qualified as a solicitor in 1996[4] and worked as a corporate finance lawyer with Birmingham law firm Edge Ellison (now part of Squire Patton Boggs). Riman joined venture capital and private equity group 3i Group plc as legal counsel in 1998 [5]. In 2007 he became CEO of corporate and technology law firm, White & Black[6], which he led until 2020[7]. Since 2020 he has been CEO of StrategOx, a strategy consultancy.
Other Positions[edit]
Since 2019, Riman has been a trustee and non-executive director of The ExtraCare Charitable Trust [8]. He is a director of technology company, Tewke and a consultant to The Praxis Network [9]. Riman is a former governor of Cokethorpe School.
