User:Praseodymium-141/Rhodium compounds

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Rhodium compounds are compounds formed by the element rhodium (Rh). Rhodium is usually found in the +3 oxidation state, although compounds of rhodium are found in every oxidation state from -3 to +7, with the exception of -2.

Oxides and sulfides[edit]

Rhodium forms two oxides, Rh2O3 and RhO2. Rhodium also forms the sulfides Rh2S3, RhS2 and Rh2S5.

Halides[edit]

Rhodium forms all four trihalides, with the chemical formulae of RhX3 (X=F, Cl, Br, I). Higher fluorides are known, RhF4, RhF5 and RhF6.
