Is this a real position? Yes it is, however it's a joke of a job! The President of the Internet does not earn a salary nor does He / She do anything. A few years ago, the powers that be got together and decided that since Google is Democratic & unbiased they would be used to decide who the current President of the Internet is! The President is the top search result for "President of the Internet" it can and will change on a fairly regular basis. As you can see Dan James is the current President of the Internet that's because Google bases it's SERP's (Search Engine Results Pages) based on Content & IBL's (Incoming Back Links) So to become President of the Internet you'd simply have to gain a lot of back links to your site declaring your intentions to run. However PSEM and SEO expert David Brown has entered the race to prove that Google can be swayed! And is now running for the position of President of the Internet 2006.
