River Parnou, Slovakia new article content ... The alluvial River Parnou starts north of the village of Suchá nad Parnou on the southern slopes of the Maly Carpathians. At Hrnčiarovce nad Parnou, about 10km south of Suchá nad Parnou, the river is about 2-3m wide and 0.5m deep and flows to the east side of the village of Hrnčiarovce nad Parnou. The Parnou then gently meanders south into the River Vah, about 30km from its source. An interesting feature is that the Parnou appears to have a double channel at Hrnčiarovce; the more easterly channel is dry north of the village but switches back into that channel about 1km south of the village.
