Sarath Lakhsman (born 1989) is an Indian programmer and GNU/Linux activist.

Born and raised in India, he was a student of Jawaharlal Nehru Government Higher Secondary School in Mahé[1] and continued his studies at the Swathantra Malayalam University. He is the founder of the GNU/Linux distribution called Slynux[2], started in 2004, and author of the Linux Shell Scripting Cookbook[3][4]. He has also written articles in the Linux For You monthly magazine.

Lakhsman has contributed notably to projects like Pardus Linux, PiTiVi, Ubuntu and Google Summer of Code[5].
