7/11/2006, Jerry Meyer, http://purdue.rivals.com/viewprospect.asp?Sport=2&pr_key=40075#scouting "A versatile and above average athlete, Hummel can play and defend the two through the four. He can score in a number of ways, but Hummel is at his best as a ball handler/passer and rebounder. As refined as he is as a prospect, he still has a good deal of upside. He will only continue to improve in college as he gets stronger."

May 24, 2005, T.J. King, http://purdue.rivals.com/content.asp?SID=892&CID=419429 - "Joining a team loaded with talented players like Luke Harangody, Jamil Tucker, E'twaun Moore, and Tyrone Appleton could be difficult, but Hummel says his teammates have made it easy for him.", - "Northwestern and Valparaiso have offered me a scholarship so far and I have heard a lot from N.C. State, Ohio State, Illinois, Notre Dame, and Iowa," said Hummel, who said schools are recruiting him as a versatile perimeter player." "My eighth grade year I was 5-foot-9 and then my freshman year I grew to 6-foot-5 and then this year I grew to 6-foot-7 so I have been growing quite a bit lately."

July, 7, 2005, Brian Neubert, http://purdue.rivals.com/content.asp?SID=892&CID=431153 Today, he stands with eight major scholarship offers, including invites from each of the state's high-major basketball programs: Indiana, Purdue and Notre Dame. Hummel said Purdue coach Matt Painter called him in recent weeks to extend the invite. Iowa, Northwestern, Xavier, Wisconsin-Milwaukee and Valparaiso have also offered.

July 18, 2005, Ryan Christie, http://purdue.rivals.com/content.asp?SID=892&CID=434126 "I've heard Dirk Nowitzki and Mike Dunleavey. I'm not as tall as Nowitizki and I'm not going to go dunk on people like he does, but I do have the ability to shoot and drive like he does. A better comparison might be Mike Dunleavey, I'd say I'm probably more like him as a player.

August 19, 2005, Justin Young, http://purdue.rivals.com/content.asp?SID=892&CID=444849 And the kid from little 'Ole Valpo is turning into quite the coveted prospect. Hummel said his offer count is up to 10 schools: Valpo, Northwestern, Indiana, Iowa, Purdue, Notre Dame, NC State, UNC-Charlotte, Xavier and Wisconsin-Green Bay. Hummel said national powers Kansas, Arizona, Duke, Michigan State and Ohio State have all inquired over the summer.

E'Twaun Moore and Robbie Hummel played with the team last year and have help from rising star Scott Martin and future Tennessee guard Cordell Passley.

Brian Neubert, May 22, 2006, http://purdue.rivals.com/content.asp?SID=892&CID=546047 Junior Stats: 12.5 points, 5.1 rebounds and 2.6 assists, shooting 50.2 percent from the field and 43.9 percent from three-point range

Not even expected to play after injuring his hamstring earlier in the event, Robbie Hummel played big off the bench for SYF.

T.J. King, June 14, 2006, http://purdue.rivals.com/content.asp?SID=892&CID=552793 "Indiana, Purdue, Arizona State, Vanderbilt, Valparaiso, Northwestern, and Iowa are still in the running and I guess that's about it if I am not forgetting anybody." "Iowa State has offered,"
