Bibliography

[edit]

Edit this section to compile the bibliography for your Wikipedia assignment. Add the name and/or notes about what each source covers, then use the "Cite" button to generate the citation for that source.

  • Viral meningitis and encephalitis: an update[1]
    • This is a review of a more generalized version of the topic, however it devotes a good section to HSV meningitis, so should be fairly useful
  • [Herpes simplex virus and central nervous system infections: encephalitis, meningitis, myelitis][2]
    • this review has some good info on HSV meningitis, as it is one of the main focuses of the review. however, the article is in French, making it harder to rely on any info I get from the auto-translation
  • Recurrent Meningitis[3]
    • This review has a section on viral meningitis, focusing primarily on HSV meningitis.
  • Pathogenesis and virulence of herpes simplex virus[4]
    • this review focuses on more of the virus as a whole, and diseases, but that information is also important. There are also several good pieces of information on HSV meningitis
  • Family Herpesviridae and neuroinfections: current status and research in progress[5]
    • This review has a few mentions of the topic, but better for a broader view

Outline of proposed changes

[edit]

I will rewrite the lead to no longer talk mostly about Mollaret's meningitis, and instead focus on meningitis caused by herpes-viruses, and can create a treatment section.
