THE MAGICAL LEGACY OF THE BAOBAB[edit]
The baobab has long symbolized longevity and protection in African culture. It is a center for community life in many villages and a national symbol. When made into a drink, the nutrient-dense fruit is thought of as a fountain of youth or an “elixir of life.”
Many legends have been inspired by this tree and are still passed down to generations today. Among them is the story that explains its unusual appearance — when God created the baobab, the tree kept walking away so God pulled it out of the ground and replanted it upside down.
OBA Drinks[edit]
OBA was founded by two gutsy globe-trotting women, having a shared passion for botanicals. They strongly believe that Nature has the power to heal and that there is magic in plants.
