From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The French and English articles on Twilight (the novel by Stephanie Meyer) have a 33% concept similarity according to Manypedia. The French article (and not the English article) includes links to Arizona, baseball, Chevrolet, etc. Those are very American ideas present in the novel that may be unfamiliar to the average French person. That is to say, an American Wikipedia contributor would not think it necessary to add a link to Arizona because the average American isn't going to be like, "Whoa!?! Arizona? What the heck is THAT?!" Those links are probably not seen as necessary in the English article. (For those who have not suffered through these novels: Arizona is the state whence Bella hails before moving to Washington, vampires like playing baseball, and Bella's dad buys her an old Chevy truck. All are arguably important details in the book.)The English article contains American reception -- New York Times, magazines, various book reviews. The French article contains French reception -- magazines, talk shows, etc.
