Heading 2 (of 6)[edit]
Here's some text, followed by a horizontal line.
Fun formatting, like 2x apostrophe italics, 3x bold, 5x both, strikethroughs, smallcaps, smalltext, bigtext and the good old non-breaking space (use {{nowrap}} for large chunks of text) versus some padded spacing. You can display templates with tl|, such as {{nobold}} and {{noitalic}}.
As with Markdown, double newlines are required for sufficient spacing between paragraphs.
- Typically used on talk pages, indents do exactly what's expected, and
outdents visually show how much is being reversed in the scenario. Also used on the talk pages are font colors, font highlighting, good text, bad text, checks and Xs .
But in an article, the quote template is used instead. Interestingly, quotes will respects single newlines as entirely newlines.
So there it is.
Here's some code
, and syntax-highlighted code:
def main():
print("Hello world")
#End of code

As you may have noticed, double brackets give quotes, but appearances can be deceptive. Linking to yourself will lead to bolding. Adding a pipe at the end removes ugly stuff, like more words, parentheses, namespaces, but not section links(#). Links will blend into the rest of a word, like cars, but this can be auto-matically be stopped (as well as aything else) with a <nowiki> tag (does not protect &codes
). Redirect to an actual page with #REDIRECT where
. Link to other wiki pages (like Wikimedia or other languages) in the same way as the namespaces. Here's a link to a category: Category:Character sets; and to an external site with a title: Google Canada. ISBN numbers can use templates, while RFC numbers do it on their own
A wiki haiku.
It will respect your spacing.
Please give it your thanks.

Here's a beautiful table:
No Mental Illness | Mental Illness | |
---|---|---|
Good Mental Health | Good mental health and no mental illness | Good mental health with a mental illness |
Poor Mental Health | Poor mental health and no mental illness | Poor mental health with a mental illness |
And a not so beautiful one:
No Mental Illness | Mental Illness | |
---|---|---|
Good Mental Health | Good mental health and no mental illness | Good mental health with a mental illness |
Poor Mental Health | Poor mental health and no mental illness | Poor mental health with a mental illness |

And finally, the legendary Wikipedia reference. Here's an example for the Twitter account for Elon Musk.[1]
If anymore help is needed, just checkout the Wikitext page or the edit summary legend. (hey look, reusing a reference![1])
