Donald Ray Grace (born October 30, 1947 in Columbus, Mississippi) is a former bluegrass musician, former firefighter, and truck driver.

Background[edit]

Grace was born in Columbus, Mississippi to Essex and Dollie Grace (nee Coleman). He grew up on a farm in Reform, Alabama. He is of English, Irish, German, and Native American (Cherokee) descent.

Personal life[edit]

He married his high school sweetheart, the former Donna Taylor on October 30, 1972 and they have one daughter, Jennifer. And they have two grandchildren, Alyson and Robert.

Musical career[edit]

In the early 1990's, Grace formed a bluegrass group called The West Alabama Grass, a five-man band made up of Ray Grace, Randy Glasgow, Danny Turner, Frankie Woodruff, and Rick Harkness.

Politics[edit]

Grace conciders himself as a life-long Democrat.

Truck driving career[edit]

Grace has worked with Swift Trucking and TK Stanley.
