I mainly read wikipedia, very rarely edit (like if I was personally involved in what the article covers or I see something factually incorrect).

I have decades of experience coding in everything from Smalltalk and C++ to Java and C#. I find the wiki formatting system to be clunky, unintuitive, and outdated... it's a bit confusing if you don't use it continually, but that is typical of legacy markup in my experience.

PS: I do love what wikipedia represents though, so either my wife or I donate regularly (at least I think she does)
