Rebecca Callander is a singer, songwriter, dancer, actress and animal rights activist. Rebecca was born in 1987, in Bundaberg, Queensland. Rebecca started her career as a songwriter at the age of eleven when she wrote and performed a radio jungle for a local radio station. Rebecca completed studies at Berklee College of Music after receiving a scholarship in creative writing for her song ‘This is why I love you’, as part of Song Summit 2012, selected by Pat Pattison. The song was performed in Callander’s former rock duo, Bec and Ben (2012-2015), for which she sang and played drums, performing at Bigsound 2013 and supporting Courtney Barnett. In 2015, Rebecca founded all female rock band RACKETT. In November 2017, Rebecca appeared onstage with Murray Cook (The Wiggles), Andy Kent (You am I) to cover Audioslave, Cochise and Black Sabbath, Paranoid, as part of Young Henry’s Rock n Roll circus.
