Furry?

[edit]

You're a furry? You're under the category furry wikipedians and I was just wondering, because it was just weird to see. Private Butcher 22:04, 18 October 2005 (UTC)

Thank you for your support on my RfA; I really appreciate it! I will do my best to live up to the trust you've shown in me. ::begins going down checklist of pages to move to "X on wheels!" Mr. Redwolf24Why did you blank my page. I'm trying to be civil here and start something that I can occupy myself with. Why destroy it? Why don't you just leave me alone? November

[edit]

Do u think that this november comming up will be maybe one of the best month for RFAs as users such as GraemeL who I expect at least 100+ votes and maybe a record , JoanneB Jobe6 who im thinking of nominating in Early November V. Molotov and user MONGO who im planning of nominating in Mid November when he comes back from a 2 week vaction he said and BD2412 who I heard is planning to become a admin in LateNovember and whould clearly get 100+ votes in a snap and (few others that name is too long to type I think u know who) probaly become nominated and Accepeted --JAranda | watz sup 23:48, 18 October 2005 (UTC)

V. Molotov is an admin I believe. Redwolf24 (talk) 23:52, 18 October 2005 (UTC)
  • Nope something happened that got him pissed and he withdrew adminship . --JAranda | watz sup 23:57, 18 October 2005 (UTC)
    • And it's unlikely a new RfA for him would pass. His outbursts following his last RfA will be viewed in a rather negative light. Furthermore, he insists he's leaving the project. --Durin 14:22, 19 October 2005 (UTC)

Also, we'll get a record for Acetic Acid (if he isn't already nominated by then) and our RfA friend Johann Wolfgang on November 1st by me and Essjay. --Celestianpower hablamé 09:09, 22 October 2005 (UTC)

Sorry

[edit]

Yes, this is one of my accounts related to User:Rainbowwarrior1977. I admit that User:Shelburne_Kismaayo and I are related somewhat, but I swear up and down that I have nothing at all to do with that User:Wiki_brah character. Do I seem like that guy at all? Shelburne was an obvious doppelganger, I know, but I don't think that Wiki_brah guy, whoever the hell he is, should be caught up in all this. I'm willing to accept my ban but I hate for innocents to be caught up in it. Anyway, I had even targetted Wiki_brah for a bit, along with User:Paul_Klenk, posing as User:TheDeletator, who I'm sure you know was also related to me. Why would I take the trouble to compose a Request for Comment against myself? It doesnt make sense. So please re-consider the block on User:Wiki_brah. You yourself believed him to be who he claimed to be, and who really could be that but him? I'm going to post the same on my pal Essjay's page and then be done with Wikipedia. I've caused enough problems for innocents. Sorry.Brandonfarb 01:06, 19 October 2005 (UTC)

Tern: The Re-tern!

[edit]

I'm not sure about all the details that lead to the blocking of Tern, but User:195.188.254.82 has admitted to being him, and claims to be editting from a library computer. I've blocked the IP for one hour; hopefully long enough to halt him and short enough to avoid inflicting collateral damage. Figured I'd give you the heads-up, as it seems he's been doing this for some time.--Scimitar parley 15:12, 19 October 2005 (UTC)

I believe it'd be okay for him to return as long as he stops whining about wikipedia and claiming we did him a harm, etc. If you see his talk page you'll see why he was blocked indefinitely, though he's not banned. Redwolf24 (talk) 22:08, 19 October 2005 (UTC)

Transwiki

[edit]

Hi Red, I went the rules on transwiking on meta, but its still somewhat confusing to me. When you close an afd debate that has a consensus to transwiki - do you delete the article afterwards? Also, how do you actually do the transwiki - just dump it in the Transwiki:ARTICLENAME? Or actually put it in the main namespace o f the wiki? Ryan Norton T | @ | C 02:52, 20 October 2005 (UTC)

Copy and paste to wt:Transwiki:ARTICLENAME or whatever source. The friendly people there will decide if they want it or not. Make sure you get the authors there too, maybe on a talk page... then delete the article here. Redwolf24 (talk) 03:23, 20 October 2005 (UTC)

[edit]

Hi Redwolf—I just looked at Kate's edit counter, and it's 2005 edits. It's a kinda ham-fisted way of assessing contribution—my count is probably inflated by my habit of forgetting to preview, and then returning to polish. On the other hand, sometimes I do huge edits in a single go. Your call. Cheers. Tony 04:45, 21 October 2005 (UTC)

JoanneB as possible admin

[edit]

Hey Redwolf...I've recently taken a quick look at User:JoanneB for possible admin candidacy. I didn't do a thorough review, just checking talk page (looks very promising), time joined up (August), and number of edits (>4000). Due to the fact that she does so much vandal fighting, I suspect she'll get nominated long before she reaches the six month watermark I have for nominating people. I thought you might like to be aware of her in case you'd like to nominate her yourself. All the best, --Durin 17:49, 21 October 2005 (UTC)

RfA, possible trolling?

[edit]

boothy344 has voted no on every single RfA without explanation. This is not only suspesious, but against RfA guidlines. This is possible trolling warranting RfC. I might need your backup

[edit]

BigDaddy777 used an IP address of 68.42.141.76 to get around the banishment. He posted to Rex071404's page. He is the only one who has ever used that IP so I banned it for a month. I don't think I'll see opposition, but if I do, I might need your backup. --Woohookitty 05:02, 22 October 2005 (UTC)

How is it that I was the one who blocked him indefinitely? It seems like someone should have a long time ago. Redwolf24 (talk) 05:10, 22 October 2005 (UTC)
Someone should have banned BigDaddy a long time ago, but the reason that didn't happen is complicated. BigDaddy's first major interaction was with Hipocrite[1]. BigDaddy's second major interaction was with Kizzle[2]. Both editors tried to persuade BigDaddy to follow the rules and failed. As did Numerous other editors. Then the RfC was filed[3]. Gator1[4] advised BigDaddy not to respond to that RfC and attempted to discredit the RfC in it's entirety. Paul Klenk[5] then butted in and attempted to prove that BigDaddy had "improved"[6] even though he completely ignored the RfC. First Kizzle's will wavered and he attempted to shut down the RfC[7], but Hipocrite objected. Later on Kizzle's will strengthened and he begun moving towards arbitration[8]. But then Hipocrite's will faltered. And then Kizzle decided everyone should just ignore BigDaddy and again attempted to shut down the RfC.[9]. At which point I stepped in and filed the RfAr. Then BigDaddy begun deleting other's comments left and right. And then RedWolf banned him. And you know the rest. Even after this whole sordid affair some users think BigDaddy wasn't "massaged" enough.[10]. - Mr. Tibbs 06:17, 22 October 2005 (UTC)
This story goes to show that Menaces like BigDaddy cannot be appeased and must be dealt with firmly. When the Carrot doesn't work, you Must use the Stick. - Mr. Tibbs 06:17, 22 October 2005 (UTC)
Interesting story, but I know most of it, I was the one who blocked him afterall. And please call me Redwolf24 instead of RedWolf, RedWolf is a very senior admin with like 60,000 edits. I'm a different guy with a measly 10,000, yet we're both very well known. Point is, I'm not RedWolf ;-) Redwolf24 (talk) 06:20, 22 October 2005 (UTC)
I Left out an important dialogue between Gator1 and other users on this subject: [11]. Here's another important dialogue involving Paul Klenk: [12]. Looking back there were several big mistakes in the handling of this other than firmness. Hipocrite and Kizzle's RfC excluding NPOV. Hipocrite and Kizzle both not keeping good track of BigDaddy, evidenced by Hipocrite missing BigDaddy's acts of vandalism. Multiple people allowing Paul Klenk and Gator1 to drag them into protracted arguements about BigDaddy. Oh well, 20/20 hindsight. - Mr. Tibbs 06:43, 22 October 2005 (UTC)

Dear Sir/Madam

I am appalled at the way Wikipedia is used by people to launch personal attacks, which has recently happened to myself. Please see

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Talk:List_of_Australians_in_international_prisons#Improvements_for_article

I was informed some time ago that people had been posting about me and the work I do at www.prisonersoverseas.com

I received an email this morning saying that whilst searching for Prisoners Overseas on Google using my name, the above came up in the listings. I have not been able to defend myself and the information is incorrect, including the fact I live in the UK, when I am based in Australia. It is in response to my setting up of Prisoners Overseas. This person has sought to blacken my name. There is a comment there from a Robert Frost of Prisoner Dispute in the UK, this is a fictitious name and fictitous organisation.

I have been accused of being someone called Diane Elgar, whom I am not. I would ask that this be investigated and removed. I made one post sometime ago in defense of Stephen Sutton whose listing was being vandalised.

This is a blatant personal attack which you state you do not allow, yet this has been on Wikipedia for some time now. This is effecting genuine charity work.

I wrote to you some time ago which was ignored. Please answer this letter and remove this appalling use of Wikipedia.

Regards

Kate Gibbons
