John Reech Ngor Thon hails from a small clan in Twic-East, Lith Payam (Abek clan) in Jonglei State. He is well informed about his clans and state. He was born in small town in Eastern Equatoria, Nimule on the 4th of July, 1999. He started his educational career at Hai Kenisa Primary and then continued at Kasubi Primary School in Gulu, Uganda. After completing primary school, he went to Kitara Model Secondary School for higher education in Masindi. Two years later, he went to India for further studies at University of Madras (Madras Christian College) for Bachelors of Computer Applications and Masters of Science in Information Technology at SRM Institute of Science and Technology, Chennai-India.
