Hello, I am a registered nurse practicing in NYC. An avid promoter of everything good about Africa. My pet projects include increasing collaboration between the homeland and its diaspora as a way to help lift Africa out of its poverty. I am also working on medical missions to the homeland.

I speak English and French. In my off-time, I listen to a lot of music, and I have discovered that Wikipedia is a very good source for information in that department. Hopefully I can help make it even better.

Mrs Askia-Williams,

I apologise for the wrong information I posted on your Wiki page. Every piece of information I write is based on newspaper articles, but I can assure you that never write with the intention of upsetting anybody, and I do appreciate the fact that you are hard-working; it was what made you what you are today. Even then, I should have known better, as most newspaper articles are false stories. I should also state that you were a role model of mine during my teenage years in Nigeria, so you can be sure that you have my respect, and yes, the term 'failed to' is somewhat derogatory. However, you did clearly state on your websites that Miss International was the only competition were you did not win anything - not even Miss Amity; that's the only reason why I used the term "failed to make an impact". I am aware of your other achivements, such as Miss Charm which I included on the page.

When I first started editing your page in 2008, there was barely enough information, particularly on your pre-Nollywood career apart from your MBGN victory; at one point the Wiki administrators were considering taking it down (they tend to delete pages they feel are not notable enough)and I can confirm that they very nearly deleted most of the MBGN winners pages) hence the beginning of my regular updates. I may have provided information that you do not approve of, but please note that I did cover one of your fashion shows, the visene commercial and your recent nursing degree; as you rightfully said, you are celebrated in Nigeria. The last thing I wanted was to offend you, but I am glad that you wrote to inform me and for that I thank you.

Yours, Jemma Bond

PS - Congratulations on your Nursing Degree. And for the record, it was not I who wrote about your transfer from Unical to Unilag - I didn't even know you went to Unical! Cleanupbabe (talk) 16:23, 26 August 2011 (UTC)
