Patricia H. Reiff, Ph.D., is a Professor in the Physics and Astronomy Department of Rice University and Former (Founding) Director of the Rice Space Institute. She has been involved in space missions since 1971, starting with Apollo and including Atmosphere Explorer, Dynamics Explorer, Polar, IMAGE and Cluster Cluster missions and is a present Co-Investigator for the Magnetospheric Multiscale Mission. Her outreach software includes Space Update and Earth Update. She is co-Inventor of the Discovery Dome, a portable digital theater, and president of MTPE, Inc., which markets the Discovery Dome and its educational shows and software under the trade name ePlanetarium, with over 350 installations in 46 countries. She is producer or co-producer of six planetarium shows, including Earth's Wide Ride Force Five; Dinosaur Prophecy; Impact!; We Choose Space and Magnetism.
