Alec Berry founded RestonTech in March, 2002, and now serves as a Senior Partner and Director of Technology. Prior to RestonTech, he founded (in 1996) and served as the CTO of Exit1, Inc., a premier web development company. In the early 1990's, he was a sought after specialist for projects at IBM, Loral, EDS, CSC, and GTE.

Alec is the lead developer and architect of many of RestonTech's projects. His work now focuses primarily on internet infrastructure; including VPNs, e-mail systems, and designing custom security products.

He is an outspoken advocate of open standards and open source software, as well as an ardent anti-spammer. He was featured on a PBS special on privacy and security, has been interviewed on several live radio programs, and frequently engages in industry discussions on security best practices.

In his spare time, Alec tries to pass as a photographer.
