Patricia Ainsworth (born 20 March 1932, Adelaide)[1] is the nom-de-plume of an Australian writer, real name Patricia Nina Bigg (nee Luckman).

Ainsworth received her education from Adelaide Technical High School. She married Robert Bigg in 1955, and they have two sons. She has worked as a secretary at the Commonwealth Trading Bank, and G R Wills and Co Ltd.[2]

Work[edit]

Ainsworth writes historical fiction novels. The Devil's Hole is a mystery set in 1877 Victoria, and Portrait in Gold a mystery set in the Victorian gold fields in 1850.[1]

The Devil's Hole was translated into French as Amour d'hier, amour d'aujourd'hui.[3]
