User:Rmark1030

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

While Rmark1030 cannot actually claim to be a true WikiOtter, (doesn't know enough Wiki to help others) he aspires to the title and will say so unless and until someone strenuously objects.

First Action

[edit]

Rmark1030 added Alberto Gómez Gómez to the list of Colombiano artists, where he belongs. If only R had known the etiquette for seeking permission, he certainly would have -- but he didn't so he didn't. Clearly, he doesn't know anything about anything in Wiki space, but He's a quick study and this sad state of affairs will not last.

Next Action

Apparently use permissions (especially those bearing on copyright) granted by the subject of the article (in this case, a living, working visual artist) to the writer of the article must be proven. In fact, in the case of images of original artwork, such permissions must go to Wikimedia directly from the artist, himself (Duh!). So much for Rmark1030's mastery of the obvious. The artist will be granting permissions personally and Rmark1030 will know in the future where the bear-trap is and will tread more cautiously. Oh well – we are all learning and growing.

And NOW for the big one

How to use Template:Non-free 2D art in my Wikipedia article. I wish me luck.
