General blah-blahs[edit]
I was born on 20 September 1993 in Washington state, have attention-deficit hyperactivity disorder, partially colour blind, and may have Asperger syndrome. I am currently attending Edmonds Community College and going for a degree in chemical engineering. I am also currently studying Japanese. I like cats but hate dogs.
Interests[edit]
Maths and science[edit]
I have a deep interest in maths and sciences. Ever since I was born, I was doing maths. In the past, I didn't have to explicitly calculate numbers when doing arithmetic (the numbers just came to me), but now I do. Through the years, I gained interests in many scientific fields. Physics, chemistry, meteorology and biology are the main ones I'm interested in. I am not interested in ecology or anthropology.
Anime[edit]
At age 6, I was introduced to anime through Dragon Ball Z and Pokémon. Since then I watched many action series, including InuYasha, Naruto, Bleach and Fullmetal Alchemist. I attempted to become interested in One Piece, but never got interested. I also watched Detective Conan.
My anime interest exploded in summer 2009 after reading and watching The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya. During that summer, I also watched Azumanga Daioh, Lucky Star, K-ON!, and read Kodomo no Jikan and Yotsuba&!. None of these fit into the action genre that I was previously interested in.
One of the more notable changes is my transition into romance series. This started May 2010 after watching Toradora! and liking it. Since then I have started reading Fruits Basket, though as part of a deal with my sister to get her to watch Toradora.
Since then I have watched many anime series, such as Ga-rei, The Familiar of Zero, Kanokon, Negima, Shakugan no Shana, Toaru Majutsu no Index, Yoku Wakaru Gendai Mahō, Nanatsuiro Drops, and Hayate the Combat Butler.
All series listed above I have liked. Of course, I've seen many that I haven't liked. These include Baka to Test to Shōkanjū, Toaru Kagaku no Railgun, Code Geass, Nagasarete Airantō, Inukami!, Spice and Wolf (though I liked the first season, not the second), Sketchbook full color'S, and Kimi ga Aruji de Shitsuji ga Ore de.
My top three favourites are Haruhi Suzumiya, Shakugan no Shana, and Azumanga Daioh.
Video games[edit]
I have been interested in video games through the entirety of my life. At an early age I was into Mario, Mega Man, and The Legend of Zelda. Now I am also playing Touhou and Trauma Center.
My favourite video game is Super Mario 64.
Music[edit]
At a very early age, I liked The Beatles and Nirvana. Though after a while, I didn't care for music at all. It wasn't until a while later I started liking music again.
Hearing the Japanese pop music in anime, I started developing an interest in music once more.
Nowadays, my favourite musicians are Minori Chihara, Yui Horie, and Natsuko Asō. Other musicians I like include Yūko Gotō, Karel Černoch, KOTOKO, RAM RIDER, IKU, Natsumi Kiyoura, Aki Misato, YMCK, Mami Kawada, Shion Tsuji, and Joe Inoue.
Other stuff[edit]
My favourite artist is Noizi Ito.
I am fascinated by language. I am currently learning Japanese, but also want to learn Korean, Spanish, Ukrainian, and Chinese.
