Artificial Paradise is the upcoming sixth studio album by American pop rock band OneRepublic, set to be released through Mosley Music Group and Interscope Records on July 12, 2024.[1] It follows their fifth studio album Human (2021). A deluxe edition will also be released the same day with three additional tracks.[2]

Background and concept[edit]

In the announcement of the album on social media, lead singer Ryan Tedder described the background and name of the album:[3]

Artificial Paradise technically started with our single "West Coast", written in a hotel room in New Orleans in 2016. That song followed up on other singles over the last eight years that didn't make sense together, but we continued to collect anyway songs and writing in various hotel rooms and studios around the world. A new album was then starting to take shape and many of the lyrics and these songs were completed over the last two years, as we navigated a world full of artificial stories, of constructions, of “heavens” – in people's digitally transmitted lives, in the lives we create for ourselves and in the stories we tell ourselves and others. And as we continue to talk about this new paradigm, the expression “artificial paradise” came up again and again. And it seems all too in tune with the world we currently live in and the aspirations of many people, for better or worse. In the midst of all this artificiality, we are trying to find a real connection, a real feeling and a real story

— Ryan Tedder

Singles and promotion[edit]

After the end of the Never Ending Summer Tour, the band soon embarked on the Artificial Paradise Tour on January 19, 2024 in Kaohsiung, Taiwan.[4]

The snippet of song "Hurt" was teased on Tedder's social media on May 30, 2024.[5]

The band announced Artificial Paradise on June 6, 2024 along with a teaser of the title track of the album. Eight previously released singles will be included on the album: "Sunshine", "West Coast", "I Ain't Worried", "Runaway", "Mirage" (for Assassin's Creed Mirage), featuring Mishaal Tamer, "I Don't Wanna Wait", with David Guetta, "Nobody", and "Fire" (Official UEFA Euro 2024 song), with Meduza and Leony[a].
