Biography[edit]

When I'm bored, I hunt for bands on MySpace and interview the members. Some of them are well-known, others exaggerate their fame, and others may be insignificant, but large fan bases can be misleading! ;) I'm like an endless game of music trivia - I know everything about everybody in every rock band... almost. I'm a professional journalist (yes, really) getting my own indie zine off the ground, so write me if you know of any bands who might be interested in some free publicity. If they're punk rockers, that's even better.

Definition of Username[edit]

Rocker: n. A performer or fan of rock music.
Grrrl: n. An alternative spelling of the word "girl," often used to describe a young female. The origin of this comes from the music genre riot grrrl, which was a feminist movement in the 1990's headed by Courtney Love/Hole and perpetuated by bands like Sleater Kinney and Le Tigre. Riot grrrls are strong women who stand by their principles, believe wholeheartedly in equality, and often uphold liberal ideals.

Personality[edit]

I'm a nice chick, really. I'm addicted to food and energy drinks. I hate Top Ramen, but I still had to add the slang term Oodles of Noodles to the wiki. I hate peas. I love nachos, when they're loaded with cheese, jalapenos, meat, beans, and AVACADOS! I love avacados. I love Krispy Kreme, but I love Dunkin Donuts more. I only like fast food sometimes, unless it's Subway, because most of it tastes a bit artificial. Rockstar Energy Drink and Sugar Free Red Bull are my energy drinks of choice. I like hula hoops. I like barbecued things. And I like Chex Mix... and Munchies... and did I mention NACHOS? I LOVE NACHOS! I like rainbows, sunsets, happiness, and wish for world peace. Since world peace won't happen, I just hug trees. Kind of like Mary Katherine Gallagher, except I don't talk dirty to them. I love Poison (band) and Bret Michaels. Bret can talk dirty to me any time. Flavor Flav makes me laugh. I'm a pop culture junkie, loving both the mainstream and the obscure. Oh, and despite my love for food, I'm not fat. Check out adipose tissue - if you already are fat, looking at those pictures will give you the insatiable urge to lose weight. If you're not, then viewing that page will guarantee that you'll never get there.

Things I might be:

  • Friendly
  • Opinionated, but only when I have thorough knowledge of a subject
  • Health and fitness obsessed
  • Inked and pierced
  • Bisexual
  • A feminist... wait... I really don't think all men should cease to exist. See, the sperm banks would eventually run out of semen, and then the human race would slowly become extinct. Save that for the infertile and the lesbians with the turkey basters!
  • A bit crude
  • A potty mouth
  • A happy drunk - no no, not an alcoholic, I just get happy when I'm drunk! ;)
  • Partially Irish
  • A songwriter and poet
  • Slightly tomboyish
  • A Floridian by location, NOT the grace of God!

Things I'm not:

  • A bitch
  • An elitist, a snob, or a self-righteous freak, unless I'm judging intellect
  • Conservative
  • Prejudiced
  • Hateful or mean-spirited
  • An avid follower of society's expectation
  • Afraid to be different or abnormal

Wikipedia Article Police[edit]

The Wikipedia article police seem to enjoy deleting my articles, and this makes me sad. FIGHT the article police - sign this petition: http://www.upetitions.com/petitions/index.php?id=195&ko=1

I'm not a huge fan of these random individuals who are not even moderators of wikipedia going around and marking articles for deletion. You must lead a very pathetic offline life if you spend your entire existance on this web site! Anyway, unless the article is pure rubbish (example: John Smith is a man who likes macaroni. He works for the municipal department cleaning sewers. He's married with three kids and he adores the one and only lady at his job. They are rumored to be sleeping together. I've met him a couple times, he's a really great dude, I know this for a fact!), who are these people to say what is appropriate and what isn't? Wikipedia is known to be chock full of obscure trivia, and what may not be significant or important to one person may be the entire world to another.
