International Career[edit]

Under-17 National Team[edit]

Campaign for the U-17 Women's EURO 2013[edit]

Claudia Bistrian was first called to the Romania women's national under-17 football team in 2012, for the 2013 UEFA Women's Under-17 Championship qualification Group 7 that was played in October and November 2012 in Thessaloniki, Greece. She played all three matches integrally (against Russia, Germany and Greece) and scored against the Russian team Romania's only goal in the tournament.

Under-19 National Team[edit]

Campaign for the U-19 Women's EURO 2014[edit]

Bistrian was called up in March 2013 for the 9th edition of the Kuban Spring friendly tournament, where she played a few matches and the Romania women's national under-19 football team finished third and won the bronze medals.

She was then part of Romania women's national under-19 football team in 2013, for the 2014 UEFA Women's Under-19 Championship qualification Group 2 of the Qualifying Round that was played in July and August 2013 in Tallinn, Estonia. She played all three matches - the first against Georgia as a substitute for Iulia Obreja, the second against Macedonia, being subbed by Alexandra Nica and the last integrally against Scotland. She scored a goal in the win against Georgia.

She was again called up in March 2014 for the 10th edition of the Kuban Spring friendly tournament, where the team took 5th place.[4]

Bistrian was subsequently in the under-19 squad for the matches of Group 3 of the Elite Round that were played in April 2014 in Ozoir-la-Ferrière, France, playing as a substitute in all matches- against France, replacing Rahela Gangal, against Sweden, replacing Beatrice Tărășilă and against Poland replacing Iulia Obreja.

Campaign for the U-19 Women's EURO 2015[edit]

Being of age for the next under-19 campaign, Bistrian was selected for the Development Tournament in Moldova (styled as an under-18 tournament). [5][6] The team lost the first game against Ukraine on penalties. [7]

Qualification group for EURO in Sarajevo.

Bistrian was in the Romania U-19 squad that participated in March 2015 in the 10th edition of the Kuban Spring friendly tournament. There, she was in the starting squad of all six matches played by Romania (against Krasnodar region, Poland, Moldova, Russia U-17, Slovakia and Israel). She scored a penalty kick in the semifinal against Israel, but the team did not manage to reach the final, eventually finishing on the 4th place. [8]
