I'm a retired Professor of Systems Engineering at the US Military Academy, West Point. I'm also a retired US Air Force officer; in the service I started out working in mission control for photoreconnaissance satellites, then moved into mission modeling and analysis, then directed the Space Operations master's program at the Air Force Institute of Technoloy, Wright-Patterson Air Force Base, OH. My doctorate is in operations research. In retirement I bicycle, garden, and read a lot.
