Welcome to my user page!

I am interested in public health-related topics such as inequity in access and delivery of healthcare, social determinants of health as contributors to disease, and basic science research to increase access to human necessities (e.g., water purification, genetic engineering, etc.). However, I find great joy in exploring many subject areas and am excited to be a part of the Poverty, Justice and Human Capabilities course at Rice University.

Articles under construction[edit]

I'm looking at how the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic has disproportionately affected people of minority races in the United States. Your comments would be much appreciated!

I'll be refining Racial disparities in the COVID-19 pandemic in the United States. Please find the most recent version on main space, integrated into the original article!

Original iterations of proposed edits can be found here.

Currently, there exists only a cursory description of the disproportionate race-related effects of COVID-19 on health outcomes. I intend to build on this conversation by substantially revamping this article to include the many disparities in COVID-19 outcomes as impacted by race. I'll be more focused on impacts for Black and Asian American/Pacific Islander lives to fit within the ongoing Black/AAPI Edit-a-thon at Rice University, but will include a discussion of all US Census Bureau racial groups. Further details can be found here, in my sandbox.
