Mind In Taunton & West Somerset new article content ... Mind In Taunton & West Somerset, sometimes shortened to Mind TWS, is a Independent Mental Health charity affiliated with the national charity Mind. Founded in 1982 as Taunton and District Mind it celebrated its 30th anniversary in 2012.

Mind offers information and advice to people with mental health problems and runs various projects such as peer support groups, a national helpline, advocacy for people with mental health issues and a campaigning project, Brolly Talk, which campaigns for better understanding for mental health issues for the general public.

Now based in Sussex Lodge on Taunton Town high street Mind TWS offices spent the majority of it's life on Canal Road but was forced to moved due to the firepool development.

MindLine Somerset _________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ MindLine Somerset is a out of hours helpline developed by Mind TWS which offers information,advice, and support for people in mental distress. MindLine is also the name given to various other mental health helplines run by other local Minds throughout the UK which serve there own local areas.
