I encourage myself and others to use discussions pages for their intended purpose.

I admit it. My initial drafts sometimes over-indulge in field expertise. I have fun playing with a field's shared vocabulary, abstractions, tools, and ideas.

Unfortunately, newbies don't want to wrap their minds around any more ideas than are necessary for the topic they chose.

Along with others, I'm improving articles for non-expert reading.

Background

My background includes way too many years in computer science and psychology with a graduate degree in each.
