Current work[edit]

While working as a recovery driver, Stephens constantly filmed his day to day life as a ‘van man’ which saw the inception of ‘StevoTheMadMan’. As the videos progressed, his followers would share his content for others to see which saw the start of his fan base ‘The Spartans’.[1] Kevin first gained notoriety for a being arrested by armed police while filming a comedy sketch with a group of friends. Kevin pretended to be disabled while he was being 'mugged' by a group of thieves, armed with a prop firearm. Shortly after, armed police arrived on scene detaining the group and taking them to a nearby police station for several hours.[2]

Stephens has been featured on numerous TV shows. He currently hosts a YouTube series for JD Sports called 'Take a Bow' with co-host Craig Mitch. The pair discuss the latest Football news, matches and gossip on a weekly basis.[3] Stephens was seen on Celebrity Coach Trip with friend and Grime legend Big Narstie, where the pair travelled around Europe with fellow celebrities, Roxanne Pallete, Charlotte Crosby, musical duo Jedward and Ola Jordan. The pair were tasked with challenges throughout the trip and then tasked with voting a team off the coach as they headed towards their final destination - Barcelona.[4] He covered the 2020 Superbowl for BBC Sport on the opening night - interviewing the players, teams and coaches ahead of the big game.[5]

During December 2019, Stephens starred in the Come Dine With Me Christmas special in a bid to win £1,000 for charity over a week of competitive cooking and hosting. The show also featured fellow celebrities, Debbie Mcghee, Charlotte Dawson, Jack Fincham, Courtney Act and comedy duo Dick and Dom. [6] Also in December 2019, Kevin also appeared on comedy, music and talk show The Big Narstie Show with friend Big Narstie and comedian Mo Gilligan where they discuss his content and upcoming projects.[7] Aside from social media and TV appearances, Stephens and older brother Dwain opened their North London based, Japanese style restaurant ISO Sushi in February 2019.[8]
