"Schnitzelwich" is an independent and one of the first ever Czech Food cart, (Originally named "Tàbor", Czech Food of Portland), Ectablished May 1st 2004, based in Downtown Portland, Oregon, known for its own creation "Schnitzelwich" sandwich. The Original Schnitzelwich sandwich was voted the Best Sandwich in the Universe according to Bon Appétit-2009. Schnitzelwich is made from Ciabatta roll made by Grand Central Bakery of Portland. The bottom of the roll is covered with Ajvar spread and sweet caramelized onions. The top has a layer of horseradish sauce, (mixture of horseradish, olive oil and sour cream). Pork loin or chicken breast schnitzel, breaded and pan fried to perfection is placed in between the 2 halves of the roll with crispy lettuce leaves. The final sandwich / Schnitzelwich weights 1 Pound. The food cart was voted amongst the 10 best food carts in the U.S.A. by Shine/Yahoo-(2011), covered by Time- Travel-2011, Mix Magazine-2013, The New York Times-(2009), Details Magazine-August 2008, Toronto Sun-August 2009 and numerous local publications.

Company The company has 2 original employees both of which are owners and married couple. The original location, Tàbor, was opened in May 1st 2004 at 433 SW 5th & Stark, Downtown Portland, and remains there until today as Schnitzelwich LLC
