Tate Langdon is a fictional character from the American horror television series American Horror Story portrayed by Evan Peters. The character is the main antagonist of the first season of the show: Murder House and is introduced as a troublesome teenager who attends therapy sessions with Ben Harmon, who's family has recently moved into The Montgomery House. Tate takes a liking to Harmon's daughter, Violet and soon begins a romantic relationship with her. It is later revealed that Tate is in fact a ghost and had died in 1994 after committing a mass shooting at his high school. It is also revealed that Tate had raped Violet's mother, Vivian and had impregnated her with the Antichrist. Tate returns in the eighth season of the show in the episode Return to Murder House with Peters reprising his role.
