J. Jonah Jameson is a fictional character fom director Sam Raimi's Spider-Man Trilogy of films portrayed by actor J.K. Simmons based on the character of the same name from Marvel Comics created by Stan Lee and Steve Ditko. This iteration of the character retains much of the same personality of the comic counterpart, which has led many fans and critics to cite Simmons' performance as one of the highlights from the film series, as well as being one of the best portrayals of a comic book character in cinema history. Simmons's portrayal of the character has become so popular with fans that the actor returned to the role in the Marvel Cinematic Universe appearing in the mid-credits scene of Spider-Man: Far From Home.
