Mergen Bilyalov (Мерген Біләлов, born December 19,1991) is a Kazakh middleweight Sanshou kickboxer who is known for fighting in and having success in various Chinese kickboxing organizations, the most notable of which being Kunlun Fight. He is noted for having devastating power in his right hand which has led to many of his knockout victories.

Biography[edit]

Mergen Bilyalov was born in Kokshetau, Kazakhstan on December 19, 1991. Before Bilyalov started his career as a kickboxer, he initially started out as a sanda fighter and even became the captain of Kazakhstan's national sanshou team.[1]

Career[edit]

April 15, 2018 in Beijing, China Kunlun Fight 72, Mergen Bilyalov made his Kunlun fight debut by knocking out Zhang Yang in spectacular fashion with a right hook during the 2nd round of the fight.[2]

October 22, 2018 in Tongling, China Kunlun Fight 78 75 kg Tournament, Mergen Bilyalov beat Zhao Cun by 3rd-round KO and then defeated Vitaly Gurkov by 1st-round TKO during the quarter and semi-finals respectively. During the finals of the competition he was matched once again with Zhang Yang and ended up winning the Kunlun Fight 75kg tournament championship belt via majority decision after a close back and forth match.[3]
