User:Shadowmorph/Macedonia POVs

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
[edit]

Definitions:

  • pro-UN edits (using the term f.Y.R.O.M. in long form) cannot be described as vandalizing
  • pro-WP:Consensus editors (using "Republic of Macedonia") cannot be described as pro-Greek
  • pro-Greek and nationalistic position is to oppose any non-Greek use of the word Macedonia e.g. "Skopje". (sometimes use "Fyrom" like a word or adjective)
  • official Greece use "Macedonia" in the long name but add a geographic qualifier like "North Macedonia", Vardar Macedonia" etc.
  • anti-Greek position is to ignore any use of the word Macedonia that is related to Greece
  • pro-Makedonija nationalistic position is to use only the English word Macedonia with no qualifiers to refer to the country (sometimes affiliate pseudohistorically to Ancient Macedonia
  • pro-Bulgarian?, There exists a List of Macedonians (Bulgarian). They shouldn't be left out. Bulgaria holds a small part of the Macedonia (region),

Discrimination against Greeks

[edit]

Users other than me would not like that WP:Outing. For example someone who got his nickname analyzed or even translated form Japanese (!). Especially when they were not first consulted about it. Furthermore digging into editors talk histories or edits (spanning in years) to find out information about their ethnicity is wrong and should be irrelevant. Even if there is a common Greece position on Macedonia it should be irrelevant. I made my ethnicity known as a statement for this page only. It is also possible that I have lied about it. Yes it is posted now for ever but it is only accessible through hard work. Unless someone digs into the trashcan (WP histories) to find it. Maybe I don't want that statement to be common knowledge! ChrisO's paparazzi behavior is wrong. By the way shouldn't Wikipedia users' histories be deleted after say a year for privacy concerns? Why are they kept for ever? What is the point?

This is Wikipedia for crying out loud. Since when does Wikipedia concentrates people's ethnicites on a list? These kind of digging into details tactics were used only in the darkest periods of history to find out if someone had once talked in favor of communists in McCarthyism or had a Greek name ending with "-idis" in Stalinist Soviet Union. Here is the list and analyzes, which is also incomplete and misleading. (it does not include editors from Romania and Sweden and don't want to say who that voted like "the Greeks"). Here is the afforementioned straw poll for proof. If this tactic of analyzing is endorsed and my talk and edit history is fair to be subjected to future thorough analysis for any reason even after many years. If it is endorsed I should delete my account right now.

Update

I have nominated the list page (not the poll) for speedy deletion by WP:CSD criterion #10.I was wrong about that. It was a nomination and explanation that technically was not applicable, not vandalism like. I'm new, I didn't know what WP:MFD was. People can't expect me to know everything in a week

I had explained to him in User_talk:Husond#Straw_poll.It was reverted by Fut.Perf[1] and I apologized. I'm sorry, I thought Speedy Del. was the applied way of policy. I found it later in MfD where it was deleted before. So, now something is Ok if it is temporary?
