Biography[edit]

Napachie Pootoogook (1938 - 2002) was an Inuit artist from Cape Dorset, Nunavut Territory, Canada.[1] She is the daughter of Pitseolak Ashoona and the mother of Annie Pootoogook. Her brothers Qaqaq Ashoona and Kiawak Ashoona are also artists. [2][3] Several of her works are in the collection of the National Gallery of Canada. [4]
