From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The Nanjing Vertical Forest or Nanjing Green Towers is a building complex in Nanjing in the Yangtze Delta, China. The green building design was made by Stefano Boeri Architects who also created the Bosco Verticale or the Milan Vertical Forest. This sustainable designed building shares the same facade featuring alternating balcony and garden containers. It is the first vertical forest to be built in Asia. The building contains 60,000 square feet of garden space.[1] The gardens contain 1,100 trees with 2,500 shrubs and plants.[2]

The Nanjing Vertical Forest is adjacent to Pukouwanhuicheng station on the Nanjing Metro. Construction occurred between 2016 and 2018. One building that contains office space is 200 metres tall. It also features a museum, a green architecture school and a private rooftop club.[3] A second 108 metres tall structure contains a Hyatt hotel and a rooftop swimming pool.
