Speedy Deletion[edit]

How about now? evando

Speedy deletion[edit]

Regarding the page GL1TCHG0R3, which you tagged for speedy deletion with the reason "an article about a band, singer, musician, or musical ensemble that does not indicate the importance or significance of the subject", I wanted you to know that I have removed the speedy deletion tag. This page does not qualify for speedy deletion because the article claims that the band released two albums on the notable record label Some Bizzare Records, which is an assertion of notability. If you still want the page to be deleted, please consider tagging it with a speedy deletion template which does apply, redirecting it to another page, or using theWP:AFD process. Thanks! Stifle (talk) 13:10, 23 September 2008 (UTC)

Hi, the reason I had tagged it speedy was a Gsearch for the exact term did not return any meaningful results. Even if I search for GLITCHGORE, Google seems to throw up only some Youtube and Myspace links. Thanks. Shovon (talk) 13:15, 23 September 2008 (UTC)
That's fine, but for an article to be speedily deleted under criterion A7, it must lack even any indication as to why the subject may be notable. The threshold is lower than the threshold for inclusion, and I would encourage you to use one of the other deletion processes if you feel the article shouldn't be included on Wikipedia. why on earth did you delete it so you dont want to talk fine86.154.149.34 (talk) 16:37, 27 September 2008 (UTC) Also your claim of NPOV doesnt mean anything when India POV is clearlt stated on the article on Indo-Pak conflicts which is leaning towards india point of view with sentences such as "backfired" and "raiders" please end your hypocrasy86.154.149.34 (talk) 16:46, 27 September 2008 (UTC)

Longewela[edit]

if you look at the battle of chawinda it first stated that pakistan won then suddenly the indian editor nichalp changed it and slapped on the tags of disputed and altered the whole article without consensus if the battle of chawinda is not restored to it stable neutral point there will be problems 86.154.149.34 (talk) 15:24, 27 September 2008 (UTC)

Are you issuing threats? Shovon (talk) 15:50, 27 September 2008 (UTC)

threats ? whats so threatening about it please explain before making false accusations again86.154.149.34 (talk) 16:38, 27 September 2008 (UTC)

You mentioned consensus: Consensus is only possible if both partys agree to one. When Nichalp took himself to put these POV tags on the battle of chawinda where was the conensus i urge you to change the battle chawinda to its normal NPOV state and warn nichalp not to change without consensus on issues such as kashmir or wars which will always result in a cyber war cheers86.154.149.34 (talk) 20:57, 27 September 2008 (UTC)

PAK[edit]

also if you look at the PAK page it is tagef POV over pakistans veiw which is only a few lines long and the excuse for it is a map thats pathetic while the indian veiw is long and clearly more POV than the pakistan one p.s nice picture 86.154.149.34 (talk) 15:40, 27 September 2008 (UTC)

Hello :-)

A belated thanks for your offer on my user page. To be honest it is not something I have thought about and I don't think I know the ins and outs of Wiki yet :-) Also I have been ridiculously busy lately (and still am) - so will not be spending that much time on wiki - not the best time for this. Thanks for the kind offer though :-) Sorry for the late reply, regards Pahari Sahib 11:06, 5 October 2008 (UTC)

By the end of the war the had 2/5 of it. azk forces and pakistani troops were right outside srinagar,it was so bad the maharaja fled kashmir and jawaharlal nehru called for the u.n. to make a ceasfire. how is that not a pakistani victory? —Precedingunsigned comment added by Raja1020 (talkcontribs) 15:23, 31 October 2008 (UTC)

Move to commons representation

The image PuneFC Team.JPG is a candidate to becopied to the Wikimedia Commons. When you uploaded this image, you licensed it for use under the GNU Free Documentation License (GFDL). On behalf of the Wikipedia and Commons communities, thank you. However, the GFDL requires that reproductions of the image (and any other GFDL-licenced works), must be accompanied by the full text of the GFDL. The GFDL is intended more for documentation and not images, so downstream re-users may be hindered by additional restrictions of the GFDL which may not work well on the use of one image.

Before I copy this image to the Commons, I wanted to ask whether you would be willing to multilicense your work under an additional license, such as a Creative Commons licence. Creative Commons licences, such as the Attribution Share-Alike license provide a similar copyleft permission to the GFDL, but without some of its requirements such as the distribution of the licence text. All you need to do, is place the additional license tag alongside your current license. Users can choose between which one they want to use the image under. There aremany free licenses accepted on Wikipedia and Commons which can provide freedoms similar to the GFDL, but without some of its requirements.

You are under no obligation whatsoever to alter the license. Doing so merely cooperates with those members of the community who believe that multilicensing your work can ease the reuse of images outside of Wikipedia.

If you use a GFDL license tag which requires distribution of Wikipedia's general disclaimer (indicated by "Subject to disclamiers" in the template), it is also suggested that you switch it to one which does not apply them.

Whether or not you choose to dual-license your work, thank you for your consideration.

Please also see Wikipedia:Copyrights and Wikipedia:Moving images to the Commons for more information.

Kargil War[edit]

Hi Shovon,

Why do you feel that the "Pakistani troops disguised as Kashmiri secessionists, militants" is unverifiable information? The Pakistani troops who fought in the Kargil War have been given Nishan-e-Haider. Surely that is verification enough.

Thanks,

Vayu (talk) 20:56, 10 November 2008 (UTC)

I understand the differentiation that you are trying to make. However, you have reverted my edit back to stating it was only "Kashmiri secessionists and Islamic militants". Please update it to state the Pakistani troops were also involved. Secondly, you have used the vandalism warning tag on my talk page. That tag shouldn't be used for content disputes. The talk pages are for that purpose.

Thanks,

Vayu (talk) 21:15, 10 November 2008 (UTC)
