I will be adding a chapter by chapter summary to the Towelhead Novel page.

Chapter 1

The opening line of the book explains how Jasira, the main character, has had an issue with her mother's boyfriend having a crush on her, resulting in her being sent to live with her father. Jasira's parents divorced when she was five years old and she mentions a memory she has of them fighting where her father slapped her mother and her mother responds by breaking his glasses. She lived with her father each summer for a month and was only happy when she was able to return home. She didn't like spending time with her father, because he was mean to her. Once he stated that she would never get married, because she spilled juice on a rug. Although Jasira's mother knew how she felt about her
