The Omangeti Farmers Association is an association of northern communal farmers which is under the leadership of a chairman who is known as Ismael Shailemo. The association which has about 350 northern communal farmers,export beef straight to foreign markets through their commercial arm and Mangeti meat market.this is believed that they are earning better prices through this.before,The Northern Communal Farmers,always argued that they receive lower prices from meatco because their cattle are down graded.this is caused by poor farming methods in the north and their traditional way of farming in the north. They rarely produce cattle weighing over 350 kg,which is the minimum weight by commercial farmers.This are some of the facts which leads to the farmers to develop the association.the association have managed to settle all this,which is now making its members to be happy and progressive --Skathindi (talk) 09:33, 28 September 2011 (UTC)
