The Kersal Massive comprises of three youths from Manchester who sent in a laughable video clip to 679 Recordings, entering a competition for a Kano BMX. Amazingly, despite their avant-garde musical stylings they didn't get it, but over the last few months, their video has spread via the internet, spawning a vitriolic wave of what many consider an unjustified parody-based remix and various impersonations on video hosting sites, notably YouTube. The band prides itself on the range of vocals, and the intense Thomas Hardy-like social realism, and their unflinching treatment of the traditionally shunned aspects of hood-life, such as the difficulties associated with urban mass transit, the omnipresence of drugs, or so called reefer, have won critical acclaim from industry professionals and consumers alike, and it is hoped that the triplet can hold fast amidst the reported strife and continue to deliver such sage musings on the overlooked nuances of life in the projects.

Etymology[edit]

The origins of the Massive's name, Kersal, is unknown, possibly honouring Kersal, County Borough of the City of Salford, the ghetto from which two of the band members heed.

Band Members[edit]

The band members are Ginger Joe, MC Mac and Little Kev, although unconfirmed speculation, spread by a source close to the the massive, has lead fans to belive there is tension in the group. As is to be expected such a meteoric rise, they are struggling under the pressure of the celebrity lifestyle and Little Kev was reportedly photographed checking in to the Betty Ford Clinic to kick his Crystal Meth addiction.
