I am organizing this page as a sort of Blog about my contributions and discussions I have participated in on Wikipedia:

10 June 2006 - Today is my first day signed in and posting on WikiPedia. I was visiting the Striped Bass pages as I prepare for a vacation trip to Cape Cod. I added a comment for the page and signed it. So this is the starting point for my keeping track of my contributions/discussions on or about Wikipedia. So far I have only read the Introduction for new users. I'll work through the tutorial before I post any more.

13 Jan 2007 - I recently discovered the Geographic Web layer that is now available on Google Earth mapping. I added a Geotag onto the Wikipedia Entry for Concordia University, Saint Paul (aka. CSP). I'm waiting to see if it will show up properly on Google Earth. My daughter is at CSP and my son will be attending Valparaiso Univ. I hope to fill in some information to add to the usefulness of those two entries.

I still need to get in and make time for tutorials so I make sure I know what I am doing and get things entered properly.

21 April 2007 - I added a couple comments to the Talk:Model rocket discussions. When I decided to look into Wikipedia pages on the topic of Sport Rocketry, I tried to search on that phrase. No index was found under 'sport rocketry' but I was pointed to the Model Rocket index. That seemed an odd title to me, so I checked out the talk page. I did find comments about perhaps using a new umbrella phrase such as Hobby rocketry. While I have not hear that phrase used in other web sites I recall visiting, I did find that this is the name used in discussions about the ATF regulation debates.

Anyway, I added two comments on the talk page (another learning experience). I suggested 'sport rocketry' as a good umbrella phrase, while acknowleging that 'hobby rocketry' does seem to be an accepted common use name. Sport Rocketry is the title I used for my own web page discussing this educational and enjoyable hobby. I also cited a link to a press release to add a point of reference to the question of 'controversy about regulation'. Hopefully my comments fit within the guidelines. I'm just trying to help.

I also discovered the Wikipedia:WikiProject_Lutheranism page. I did not yet sign up as a member, but I will try to visit the page again and possibly contribute to improvements and additions to the project. I have more than a few "connections" to the Lutheran Church - Missouri Synod‎ (LCMS) and can probably help in improving pages related to the LCMS.
