Chase Culpepper is an American transgender activist from the state of South Carolina who is best known for suing the South Carolina Department of Motor Vehicles for discrimination of her sexual orientation. Her lawsuit received worldwide attention from the media as well as from the LGBT community. Chase currently identifies as gender non-conforming, but prefers to be referred with feminine pronouns.
