Vicente Aguirre was Argentine footballer, (January 22, 1901 - June 11, 1990), very prominent in the history of Club Atlético Central Córdoba and Newell's Old Boys, well remembered for the twenties and thirties for his goalscoring ability, ability and skill for soccer.

Club career[edit]

In 1916, when he was fifteen years old, he started playing football in the lower divisions of Rosario Central. First he joined the team of the fourth division and then, in 1917, he was champion of the third division tournament. In the final match of that category, Aguirre scored two goals in the extra time that gave the team a 3: 1 victory against Gimnasia y Esgrima.

In the center of Rosario came to play a single game at the beginning. This happened in the Nicasio Vila Cup 1917, in the triumph auriazul by 7 to 1 against the Provincial Club. International career[edit]

As a player of the Argentinian team, he made 4 appearances for the National Team, winning 4 goals with him, three of them in the same game in Montevideo (Copa América) in 1923, when Argentina defeated Paraguay by 4 to 3.
