Hi! My name is Sofia Valencia. I'm a senior at USC majoring in psychology. I'm very passionate about mental health, so I decided to make it my major. I was born and raised in Los Angeles. I love working out, spending time with friends and family, shopping, going to the beach, and teaching! I want to become a teacher after I graduate.

I decided to join PSYC 372 Human Sexuality because I am interested in learning about other cultural aspects of sex and ways sex education can be promoted in schools. I feel like there are so many different beliefs regarding sex in cultures around the world that are very different compared to the United States. I am also passionate about promoting sex education in schools to teach minors about safe sex. There are so many schools that do not offer sex education classes and I believe this should change. This class also fits my schedule and I needed to fulfill my biological requirement for my major.
