Soma Chakraborty Director Anti Human Trafficking India Mission Co-ordination Committee Born on 19th April 1980 at Cuttack, Odisha, Soma Chakraborty works on the issue of Human Trafficking.

Master of Education professional with nearly 20 years of experience in Holistic Child Development, Child Protection, Gender Justice and Women's Right, Gender Based Violence, (GBV), Human Trafficking Operations, Partnership and Community Intervention. Gained hands-on experience on Indian Laws for Child Rights & Trafficking, Counseling, Research Methodologies & Community Mobilization while working with Compassion International, Justice and Care, My Choices Foundation and India Mission Coordination Committee.

Implemented & planned the Missing Person’s Program, resulted in 232 rescue interventions. Spearheaded Rescue operations in coordination with Police and worked on Missing Person’s Program PAN India & Bangladesh. Successfully designed different Training Module and Curriculums on Gender Equality, Child Protection, Emotional Abuse and Anti Trafficking for INGOs & Government. Strategized Community Prevention Model on Anti Human Trafficking, Child Protection & Gender Justice. Imparted training to Police Officials on pre & post rescue procedures, and to NGO Staffs on IPC, ITPA & POCSO, to act as watch dogs of the community & to process missing person cases within the community and manage conflict resolution. Used critical thinking to break down problems, evaluate solutions and make decisions.

I have been able to steer the CP & GBV team to achieve a high-quality result now and in my past roles. while presenting a paper on “Gender Violence in Socio Cultural Spaces” at a National seminar organized

by the English department of Stewart Science College and have been applauded and received distinguished certificate recognition.
