Asanda Mkumatela born 30 June 1989 in Tsolo;Eastern Cape,(South Africa) is an entrepreneur who started trading from humble beginnings. Being the eldest in a family of three male siblings,he showed an interest for business from an early tender age of 12 when he started selling chickens and vegetables for his father as a hawker during school holidays.

Being born and raised by both his parents,life proved to be soon challenging when he lost his mother in 2005. His father tried every hard to raise the three boys as they were now faced with an unforseen challenge of growing up without a mother. After matric Asanda went to study Public Relations Management at the Durban University of Technology (PMB Campus) in 2009 where he completed his diploma in 2011 accompanied by awards for best academic achievement and academic course representative for two consecutive years.

After completing his diploma he then moved to Durban still Kwa-Zulu Natal to complete his post graduate degree where he completed his B-tech and endeavoured on his Masters in Public Relations Management in the years 2012-2014.

While studying for his Masters Degree he was working as an estate agent and was later offered a job as a lecturer at the University.
