Bio
[edit]About me
[edit]I'm an aspiring scientist who wants to know general information about the way things are made, and the small particles that make them up. Aside from science, my other hobby is collecting, my collection consists of multiple old time game consoles, as a way to look a technological history. When it comes to consoles, I prefer Nintendo as they are the oldest currently producing company.[1] For science, I am interested mostly in material science, a science dedicated to the development of resources.
My Wikipedia interests
[edit]The purpose of this Wikipedia article may be school oriented, but the goal in my mind is to work on an article and create my own based on creations from my work in material science. Other than science, Wikipedia is an amazing resource so understanding the way articles are made is a must. Another must have, is the decision-making process on publicly seen articles, it's valuable and I wish to have this knowledge as well.
Article Evaluation
[edit]For My evaluation I wanted to pick something personal, and aside from science and Nintendo, I love Beyblade as a child I was a bit late to the party and now is my opportunity to help point out what is now one of my favorites, so I looked at the Beyblade Wikipedia article and found three things to make note of.
Updated and Accurate
[edit]The article is current including a minor history of the franchise and having the latest images of what you can expect in the now, and what was juts before, note that this is during a big change with the switch from Beyblade burst to X so having the most current rules and info is impressive and important.
History
[edit]Unfortunately the history of Beyblade doesn't appear to be well highlighted, they don't talk much about some of the older games, which is important as Beyblade as a franchise is built off it's past, with even now certain past Beyblades with different designs still return to the spot light so knowing at least where they are from, and highlighting some info on the past would increase the experience for the future
Modernized Sources
[edit]Part of why we lack historical info is the links there is only one external link, and it's to the Beyblade website, obviously Beyblade is toy product and a game so, they want to have the newest thing on the front, and basically nothing else in the back, so without another external source, we have no way to find info about the past even outside the wiki, which only includes info on the past tie in anime or manga.
Conclusion
[edit]The article is alright, I would like a greater focus on the past as it is still quite relevant, but I can't ignore the importance having the future as the main focus and being current, it just seems to lack those extra steps to push for the whole franchise being represented in such a definitive article.
